Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
woke up this morning anal was sore. went to class kind of hurting like a pimple or boil , it is hard feels like it is half in and out of the anus. had a real hot bath and tried to squeeze it but its too sore. its day one just wondering how do i know if it is a hemroid or a boil and what should i try and do either way?
The possibilities I can think of are haemorrhoids/piles, anal fissures or boils.
In all cases as a common measure, the first thing to do is avoid constipation by having a diet rich in fibre like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains like whole wheat , oats etc. Drink plenty of water , atleast 8-10 glasses of water a day.
If it is a boil, hot fomentation might help.
Do visit a proctologist for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
