Hi,

Shingles also called herpes zoster, is a viral infection caused by VZV virus. It follows chickenpox(varicella). Antiviral drugs like acyclovir may be taken under supervision of doctor in proper doses according to body weight or age. Local application of silver sulfadiazine cream might improve the lesions. Consult the dermatologist and take perfect treatment.

Hope this helps.
