Suggest Remedy For Severe Stomach Ache And Diarrhea

Hi husband is suffering from severe stomach pains and has diarrhoea with some sickness and wind. He s been on and off the toilet for several hours, has taken rennies, ibuprofen, used a hot water bottle, but nothing is easing the pain. Any help would be grateful. Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your husband is having symptoms of severe stomach ache and diarrhea which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis caused by viral infection. It could be due to electrolyte imbalance in body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you not to panic at all. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate yourself. Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. You should give Ibuprofen along with proton pump inhibitors as well. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. Give him banana on daily basis and light food. Avoid taking any sharp and spicy food.
