I was recently diagnosed with mononucleosis. It started off with a sore throat and fatigue. THe first time I went to the doctor he said that they were no medications that he could prescribe that helps mono, aside from pain killers, throat coats etc... Over the past 5 days I have been resting, drinking fluids and doing the typical treatments for mono. Unfortunately, my sore throat has gotten so severe that I cannot sleep, and hardly eat. I went back to the doctor asking if there was anything they could do to help my throat, but there wasn t. What do you suggest I do to help my sore throat so I can rest well and get the sleep I need?
