Suggest Remedy For Severe Cough With Sore Throat

I had a nagging cough for the last few days. No other cold symptoms like congestion or runny nose. The cough was worse when laying down, had the feeling of nasal draining in the back of my throat. After a few sleepiness nights, the cough has pretty much gone away, and has evolved into frequent throat clearing and a sore throat. Now I have a stiff neck, with soreness on the back right side of my neck. The stiff neck has me concerned. I ve taken a couple ibuprofen. Any other suggestions?

HI.
All the symptoms are suggestive of an infection in the upper respiratory tract.
You have to take Ibuprofen on 8 hourly basis and add on the antibiotics and antihistamines, decongestant nasal drops and orally, steam inhalations and so on.
Complete the course and you would be fine. Consult an ENT surgeon if there is no relief.
