Suggest Remedy For Severe Belching And Fatigue Post Recovery From Stomach Bug

I got a stomach bug on Sunday, threw up early Monday morning. No vomiting since and no diarrhea. Just a lot of belching, some queasiness off and on and fatigue. How long should this last. Is taking 40 mg of omaprazole OK and chewing on tums. I am trying to return to a regular, though not spicy, diet now.

Hi,

After reading your post, I would suggest that you should take Domperidone 30 mg along with Omeprazole. Also take a probiotic preparation daily. If the symptoms persists, get yourself clinically evaluated by your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. R. A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
