Suggest Remedy For Severe Abdominal Cramps During Periods

I started my period this morning, and had incredibly painful cramps, it felt like my insides were being ripped out. About five hours after I started, I passed a white mass streaked with blood. I m not on any birth control, and I can always feel when I obviate, but didn t this month. My last period was normal. What are possible causes of this?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Intense cramping pain before and after onset of menstruation is called dysmenorrhea.
Passage of white mass streaked with blood could be fragments of endometrium being expelled from the uterine cavity.
You need to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and treatment.
Treatment of this condition is primarily NSAIDs.
NSAIDs are a group of drugs which control pain.
If the condition does not improve with NSAIDs, birth control pills may be required.
Thus, consult your gynecologist for further management.

Thanks and take care
