Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
Changes in menstrual periods can happen and some variation in days is normal also. The most important issue is that you have periods regularly every 21-35 days. The bleeding time in days most of the time is the same in the same woman but some variation is normal. Have you ever had a pap smear? It is recommended every 3 years if you are sexually active. If irregularities happen again an ultrasound would be a good idea and if those 2 tests are normal and you are still concerned with the difference in days of bleeding and it happens for another month you can try oral contraceptives (COP) for 3 months- they tend to make periods more regularly.
Something important is that you need to have a work up for infertility. The same cause that causes infertility might cause irregular periods so you need to see a doctor and start work up for infertility and have it treated. Some causes are treatable (like anovulatory menstrual cycles, policystic ovary disease, hormonal problems like thyroid problems, adherences in the uterus ect)
Hope this answers to your question and is helpful to you.
