General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
The causes for excess gases could be ingestion of air while eating or drinking or the gas formed by the bacteria in your gut. So for this you should eat slowly with closed mouth and avoid frothy shakes and all. Sometimes excess intake of fibrous diet can also be the reason for excessive gas formation.
And your chest pain could also be due to excessive formation of stomach acid or reflux of stomach acid in the food pipe. For this, you need to take acid-lowering drugs for some time and some lifestyle modification.
Hope this answers your query.
Regards.
