Hi! I have a rash on my outer lips and are actually touching. It originally started from the corners of my mouth. I had this before a lot and it stays for maybe a week or more. My lips burn right now and are very swollen and its crusting with yellow pus. I have had sexual activity but I dont think its herpes because there are not sores.
Understanding your concern. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like herpes , oral thrush , allergic reaction , fordyce granule , bacterial infection and mucocele . But is seems to me that the bump is result of infection as there is yellow pus coming out of it . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination and to find out exact cause . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin) for a week . For now you can take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling , keep it clean and do not touch it with hands .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
