Suggest Remedy For Racing Heartbeat And Anxiety With Fear Of Taking BP

Hello, I try to donate plasma, but I am usually rejected every time I go, due to my extreme pulse. I sit for about 20 minutes reading a book and listening to music, before I go to get my vitals checked. I also focus on my breathing, yet I can feel my heart beating out if my chest no matter how hard I try to control my anxiety. I used to be able to donate plasma with ease, but I have an extreme fear of getting my blood pressure taken. My pulse ranges from 115 to 145 BPM. I am a 19 year old girl of healthy weight, 120 pounds. I exercise daily and eat moderately healthy. How can I fix this issue?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If increase in heart rate only occurs at this time and you have no other issues with your heart, you may want to consider asking your doctor for medication to help control your heart rate at this time.
It would not need to be taken otherwise.

There are medications that are used in anxiety, thyroid diseases or persons with tremors that help to control the tremors and heart rate.
This category of medications is called beta blockers.

I hope this helps
