Suggest Remedy For Problem In Ear

Last night I got slapped hard in the ear with a cupped hand and immediately heard a ringing sound and was slightly dazed. The ringing went away after a few minutes but I still have the feeling in my ear of it being underwater. It has been 16 hours roughly and there is no pain now but it hurt badly initially. It never bled or leaked fluid and does not appear swollen. Will this go away and my ear return to normal or what should i do?
