Hello. Thank you for writing to us
Acne is common in those who have oily skin.
I suggest you to keep your face as clean as possible and avoid using cosmetics and sunscreens as far as possible.
Wash your gently with a neutral pH cleanser e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion, twice daily. Frequent washing is not encouraged.
Rather than trying
home remedies I would suggest specific antiacne treatment. Topically you may use an antiacne antibacterial gel e.g
clindamycin gel or
benzoyl peroxide gel during day time.
At night I would suggest a topical retinoid e.g adapalne gel.
Topical retinoids are comedolytic, antiinflammatory in action and therefore prevent new acne apart from treating existing ones.
Adapalene is therefore also useful for maintaining the improvement.
I suggest you to visit a
dermatologist in your region. Your dermatologist will assess the severity of your acne and advice accordingly.
You may also opt for a few sessions of
salicylic acid chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist.
Salicylic peel is particularly useful for acne and oily skin conditions.
