Suggest Remedy For Persistent Vitiligo

I had Vitiligo since my my childhood and almost since However my father took a chance to Naatu vaidhyam and at this stage I need to say, I really recovered a lot and most of my patches are gone. I used to follow strict diet for this. I had these patches all over my legs including foot, underneath foot, hands, shoulder, all over my head (even my hair used to turn white) After Naatu vaidhyam I recovered to max extent where the patches all over my body are reduced and the ones on my head are entirely gone. So, I stopped using this medicine. As the time passes, there started growing again. So, my father had then taken Step to Avurvedam and I used to use those medicines along with food control. I used them for 10 years. I didn t notice a drastic change but no news ones were appeared. Currently, I got waxed up and not using any medicine. As of now, I m getting new ones and even few of the old ones are growing bigger. Now, my parents are seeing me to get married by explaining the problem to the person. Here my doubt are, 1. Is this Sexually transmitted? 2. If I have children, does this spread to them at any age? 3. Does this Vitiligo caused any other health issues like Diabetics, Skin cancer, Thyroid, etc... Can you please clarify me?

Hi.
As per your queries regarding vitiligo my advice is -
1. It is not sexually transmitted. It is an auto-immune disease.
2. It is not outright genetic disease. So chances of your children having vitiligo are minimal.
3. Vitiligo may be associated with diabetes and thyroid dysfunction. But it is not necessary that each and every vitiligo patient will have these systemic diseases.

And for the treatment part, in your case of widespread vitiligo you may go for phototherapy treatment.

Thanks.
