last year i had a severe head cold. I went to the ER and was prescribe zyrtec Dand flonase for my allergies. I never fully got over the head cold so my nasal passages remained clogged. I went to my doctor and he prescribed Afrin nasal apray severe congestion and i used that for two weeks and then the ringing started.i have been suffering from ear ringing with no pain over 6 weeks. My ENT doctor scheduled me for an ear eexam consist of different sounds with some type signal wave machine and no problems was found. His conclussion was he doesnt know and offered me a nasal saline spray, sleeping pills and test for allergies. How can i get rid of the ear ringing? What is my ear problem?what is the solution to my constant day and night ear ringing?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Your history is suggestive that the Audiometry tests was normal hence your ENT could not find the cause. Other causes such as hypertension, Inner ear infection needs to be evaluated by MRI of the brain as well as the the ears. This will help to rule out internal tumors. And Meniere'sis also to be ruled out. You may please consult a Neuro-otologist. for further evaluation and proper diagnosis for proper treatment.
