my 6 yr son has mild adenoids. now from past 10 days he is having cough. after bout of 08 days of anitibiotics the cough has not gone. Yesterday night he woke up coughing, that is when I noticed that the saliva(phelgem) is filling his throat and is causing choking and cough. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

He may require blood investigation, complete hemogram, blood culture, sputum culture, after a detailed medical examination by pediatrician.

Watch for symptoms like breathing difficulty, fever.

You can give syp acetaminophen in case of fever, may require antibiotics according to the culture report.

Keep him hydrated and maintain proper hygiene.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
