Suggest Remedy For Panic Attacks

Hi. My husband has recently been experiencing panic attacks and tonight we tried to have sex. Everything was fine- foreplay, kissing, etc., but when it came time to have sex, he went soft. He figured it was because he had to pee so he did. After he came back it was still soft. I tried to give him a handjob and it took a long time to erect ... It didn't erect fully and out of nowhere he came, and when he came, his heartbeat was irregularly fast and he felt that he couldn't breathe. We don't know why. What do you think?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

The symptoms he is showing are due to severe anxiety and panic disorder. He failed to erect due to anxiety and this has resulted in panic attack. His heart was beating fast and this should be evaluated. I would advise you to take him to a psychiatrist for proper evaluation.

Medical causes should be ruled out before making diagnosis of anxiety. ECG can rule out any cardiac cause. Hyperthyroidism, anaemia, vitamin B12 deficiency can present with increased panic attacks and should be ruled out.

For anxiety disorder medicines like SSRIs are used. Sertraline, Escitalopram etc medicines can help to reduce his symptoms of anxiety. For severe panic attacks medicines like low dose benzodiazepines can help. Visit a psychiatrist for proper evaluation and prescription.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Take care
