Suggest Remedy For Painful Lump Right Behind My Knee

Hi I am a 19 year old female. Last night I noticed that right behind my right knee there is a tiny bruised lump on my hamstring. I rolled over my ankle earlier last night but my ankle is fine it doesn't hurt or anything. After I rolled over my ankle I was in a concert sitting for 3 hours on a hard plastic chair hitting right up against where the bruised lump is now. I don't know if that is what caused it or if it sounds more serious and if I should get it checked out? There isn't much pain really, it's an achey feel when I stretch in certain ways. Thank you.

hi.

based from your description, it could be just an inflammatory reaction. apply cold compress on the affected area for now, at least 2x daily, for 10-15minutes. swelling and inflammation will subside in a few days time. if the symptoms persist, a consult with your doctor may be necessary for clinical evaluation.

hope this helps.

good day!!
