I had a white head on my outer labia an accidentally cut it open while shaving. About a week later the area became the size of a pea and white pussy like center. My underwear irritated to the point I had a large blister. It worried me about being infected so er doc said hydrocortisone cream, that night I used it and it burned beyond any pain and next morning I am covered in clear blisters from outer labia past my leg crease....very painful

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. You had an accidental cut on labia while shaving. It seems that resulted in infection of hair root in skin of labia. You applied Hydrocortisone to it. Hydrocortisone has an anti allergic effect. It hampers fighting against bacterias. So you had increased rash on skin. Usually I give Tab of erythromycin with anti inflammatory drug ( Ibuprofenparacetamol ) in such cases. You need to consult your doctor for prescription of antibiotic to manage your infection. Thanks.
