Suggest Remedy For Painful And Tingling Sensation On Face And Head

I am suffering from some sort of nerve pain in the top right side of my head. The pain comes on abruptly and feels like a sharp, tingling electrical shock type pain. It s been going on for about three weeks. Now I am having nerve sensations all over. Mostly on my head and face. These sensations are not painful, it feels like a bug on my skin. The painful one is always in the same spot. My eyes seem to twitch quite a bit now and the tingling on my head face and body happen almost continuously how ever the pain comes a few times a day and goes away within seconds. I went to the ER and they put me on tegritol which didn t seem to help any. I have been on ambien for the past year. I have no Idea what this could be. Any Suggestions would be appreciated

As per your complain the symptoms of sudden electrifying pain along with numbness on face and neck seems to be due to disturbances related to Trigeminal nerve that is a fifth cranial nerve and is also known as nerve of face..
Disorders related to it like compression, trauma or inflammation can lead to abnormal outbursting of impulses and can lead to pain episodes..

While the symptoms of generalized numbness in body and tingling can be due to Peripheral Neuropathy, Vitamin B12 deficiency and disorders related to brain..

In case if you have already taken Tergetrol with no relief and taking Ambien you need to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get investigations done like MRI Scan to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you accordingly..
As of now you can take Vitamin B-complex and zinc supplements and continue with Ambien..
