Suggest Remedy For Pain In Tailbone

Started having pain in tailbone early 2009 whilst moving from a sitting to a standing position particularly. Stiff neck started around May 2012 and has got progressively worse since. Have pain throughout my back. Have pain in my right thumb joint and left shoulder joint, and intermittent pain in my right foot. I have recently started to have pain in my elbows like they are making a clicking or popping sound. Pain is worse in mornings or after rest/sitting still. Constant feeling of fatigue and not feeling refreshed after sleep. Pain and tension in the neck is leading to more frequent headaches. Feeling stressed and depressed, sometimes find it hard to concentrate and sometimes feel like im in a daze. Pain and discomfort has now got to a stage where it is affecting my day to day activities, getting out of bed, bending over to pick something up, even driving have all become a real struggle. Feel unable to exercise because of the pain. Feeling very fed up of the way I feel. Not able to enjoy my life. Have frequent bloating and discomfort.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

Due to fall on hard surface sacrum may be injured. Due to microtauma there may be fibrosis formation.

Do hot fomentation over sacrum. It will take weeks to months to subside.

Use ring cushion and take sitz bath [sitting in lukewarm water for 10 min]
Take analgesic like nucoxia 90 once daily along with tab methylcobalamine 1500 mcg once daily consulting your doctor.
If not relieved with all these methods then local injection may be required. You can take this consulting your doctor.
Clinically spinal origin of pain needs to be ruled out, if required MRI spine can be done. and blood investigation to rule out arthritis.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
