My father is 73 years old, he is a non alcoholic, non smoker. He suffered a massive heart attack last thursday, however he is stable now. He believes it is the gas which triggered the heart attack as he suffers from very very high amount of gastric problems. Even though he is on a bland diet he is still feeling the pain in the stomach due to gas. Pls advise what should be done ??
dear in old age lack of digestive enzymes causes the food poorly digested and reach large colon utilised by gas forming bacteria may cause bloating.avoid spicy oily food and alcohol.use tab.simethicon 80mg twice a day,tab rifaximin 200mg thrice a day.avoid dairy products.
