Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I believe I have a L 5 nerve root entrapment. I developed sciatic pain in the right region around the lower spine radiating down my right leg . the pain goes down the posterior lateral aspect of my thigh and down the lateral anterior aspect of my calf muscles to the bottom of my foot. As of the last few days I have developed numbness along the lateral anterior aspect of my right calf muscles. I now have difficulty taking any weight on my right leg for fear of collapsing because of weakness. If I am walking and my knee is flexed too much I tend to lose my balance and fall forward.
