Suggest Remedy For Pain In Left Ear

Two weeks ago I suddenly had pain in and around my left ear. I felt a swollen blood vessel about 1/2 inch behind the middle of my ear. It hurts when touched but does not throb. Pain is intermittent. If I press on it, it hurts for a long time. I have not seen my doctor, but I wonder if there is cause for concern due to a blood clot or something.,

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, you might be having infection of your mastoids.
This needs medical evaluation. Empirically you can take anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days.
If symptoms persists, then please consult with your doctor and get evaluated.
If the infection is severe you may need penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines for 5 to 7 days.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
