The cause for blood in urine could be some bladder pathology. Your mentioned history suggestive of bladder lesion. So you need further work up in form of cystoscopy examination.
If needed than during cystoscopy examination, a biopsy can be taken from the lesion for histopathology examination to find cause.
According to cause specific treatment given. You can discuss all these with your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
