Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The veins in my hands are swelling and causing pain. My fingers and wrist are hurting as well, with swelling in fingers. I have 3 herniated disc in my neck and 2 in my lower back, i am not sure if these symptoms are from nerve pain or something else, maybe vascular related? Please help me, because I am going to the er tomorrow morning if not. Thanks
The symptoms can be related to nerve pain. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. If the symptoms continue,I suggest to see a neurologist and get evaluated. You may need prescription painkillers such as Gabapentin.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
