My 8 year old son had a pain above his belly button this evening - got him a hot water bottle. just been in to check, he is fast asleep but felt cold to touch on forehead...temperature of 35.3. he did respond when I tried to wake him to check he was ok but now asleep again. should I be concerned?

Hi... by what you quote I feel that your kid might be having a worm infestation or it could be a mesenteric adenitis which means but he might be having some small lymph node enlargement in the tummy. This could be the reason for pain. I suggest you not to do anything as of now. But if he develops green colour vomiting or blood in motion or continuous Diarrhea and decreased urine output or rash and joint pain then approach the nearest Emergency Room or your child's pediatrician.
