hello Dr. ive been having chest pains for about 9 months now, couple months ago i went to the doctor and we did an EKG, even a holter monitor because it felt like i had an irregular heartbeat, or it skipped a beat sometimes and id have to stop myself and get myself together for a moment. ekg, holter monitor results were all good, went to the lab, took blood, everything according to my doctor is normal( im Air Force so i go to the military doctor) i seen them in july, now im having chest pains again, i feel like my spleen is swollen even under my spleen where i think my liver is hurts occasionally. i have swollen lymph nodes wich has been going on for about 5 weeks, when i went to talk to the doctor about that they pretty much gave me prilosec for GERD, and im suppose to see if that helps. im 24 years old never had any other problems, no family history, and i am a male. ive also had a lumbar sprain 4 years ago and have had mid back problems as well. sometimes the chest pain is really dull, sometimes it feels like im getting pricked with a needle, on a scale of 1-10 id say the pain is normally about a 4. mostly on the left side, occasionally on the right also. ive been feeling really weak and tired lately through out the day. and im also deployed to a non disclosed location in southwest asia so medical care is not so great here. please help me out and give me any advice thank you so much. alden

I am an 18 year old male. I have a list of symptoms which are bothering me. Since September, I have been diagnosed with early stages of Appendicitis, mild Hepatomegaly, Gastritis, and Granular Pharyngitis. Also I have noticed a few other symptoms like: Withe paste that is located on top of my tongue, which could be thrush, my stool is clay colored, and I currently am having a case of tonsillitis - with no fever. I am afraid this could be an HIV infection, for I was involved in risky behavior a few months ago, and also I m afraid this could be Hep C. What else could this mean?

Dear Doctor, My mother is 60 yr. old, with history of C.A Breast & mastectomy was done five years ago (Radical mastectomy) and kept on hormonal therapy till now (Tamoxifen tab 20mg 1x1) without chemotherapy or radiotherapy. And regular follow up done every six months and these include: blood test (C.B.P, ESR, Renal function test, liver function test, S. electrolyte, lipid profile), uls (ultrasound) for abdomen & Rt. Breast, CXR and mammography every year. Last one year, she complains from intermittent backache radiated to unilateral Leg, so plain x-ray & contrast MRI done and it shows degenerative changes of vertebrae, and kept on anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug and improved. Before four months, she complains also severe backache and radiated to unilateral leg and difficulty in walking describe as (Bone pain), this pain last 20 days after history of strenuos exercise (blood test = normal) and kept on analgesia. The patient had history of intermittent dizziness and headache, no history of nausea, vomiting or blurred vision. Three weeks ago, bone scan done, shows multiple focal lesion (skull, ribs & vertebrae)??? But the oncologist don’t depend on this scan, because this is the first machine enter our country, Iraq, so I would like to know your opinion and your advice please…. Note: -The patient had history of trauma to chest before few months ago and complains from chest pain for two weeks and then relieved. -     Previous history of operation of the left hand (Trigger finger) 8 years ago. -     This Bone scan done after one hour & 45 Min. from the time of injection of Tech.99 and the scan duration was only 20 minutes. -     My mother don’t complain any pain since last May 2005. e.mail: YYYY@YYYY With my best regards

Hello, wonder if you can shed any light on my troublesome symptoms? I'm 50, 6ft, male, a little overweight but still fairly fit, don't smoke, and drink maybe once a week. One day, as I was walking down the street I started to feel disconnected, fuzzy-headed, light-headed, fatigued, and a very heavy feeling in the legs. For around 6-8 months now it's been the same, some days not as bad as others... sometimes with shortness of breath as well. I've had blood tests, ECGs, a brain scan, Exercise ECG, Echocardiograph, Stress Echo, Holter Monitor and a Coronary Angiogram. Apart from a B12 deficiency which is now okay due to injections, and a few very minor (and unconnected) heart ailments, nothing has been shown to be the cause.

Hello, I am a 39 year old female who has been suffering from PVCs for about 5 years now. I have been to 2 cardiologists and had 24 hour monitor, echocardiogram, and stress tests done and all have been reletively normal with the exception of the pvcs. The last holter monitor stated that I had over 3,000 PVCs in a 24 hr period. This is significantly greater than when they first started occurly. The last few days they have been all of the time. The doctors are not concerned about them. I have always believed that your body tries to tell you what is wrong. Is there other tests I should have done?
