Hello, I think the best thing would be to follow up with the doctors at Kosairs Hospital. Your local hospital doctors can electronically send questions, a copy of your chart and CT scans to them to determine the next best step. Doctors can transfer this information with your permission. The permission forms are usually found at the health information or medical records department of your local hospital.
The findings that you are describing are concerning in that masses with involvement of many organs along with enlarged lymph nodes may be cancerous. Prompt attention to these findings and assurance from Kosairs that he does not have cancer is needed. In addition, you also may want to call St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Memphis - patient relations to find out if they can see your child without any charges. They will need a copy of his CT scan and records. The masses may be caused by something else other than cancer such as an infection but making sure that this is not cancer is the first step.
My office practice can help you further if you can provide records, a copy of your insurance card, and a phone number to reach you. The phone consultation will only be billed to your insurance company not to you personally. The fax number is: 858 259 9689 c/o PRMG. Thank you and I wish your the son the best of health.
