General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

This lump can be a local skin infection or a symptom of an abscess due to rectal fistula.
For sure your symptoms indicate that there is some inflammation and infection in this area. That is why you should not leave it alone.
If its skin infection, there might be a need of some local treatment is necessary. If its an abscess it should be incised and drained.
I suggest you to consult general surgeon with this issue.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
