Suggest Remedy For Low Bone Density

I was referred to an Endocrinologist because my bon density test has gotten much worse in the past 2 years.
I have been taking Prolia Injections but it has not helped.
I havent ha a period since the age of 47 and now 55.
I had no problems with menopause.
What does an endocrinologist have to do with my Dx of Osteporosis???

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Osteoporosis is a common problem in postmenopausal women.
Osteoporosis is caused by low calcium density in bones and it is caused by low levels of estrogens in body.
Hormone replacement therapy is helpful in this condition.
Hormone replacement returns some of calcium to bone thus reverting the osteoporosis to some extent.
This is the reason why you are being referred to an endocrinologist.
