Has been on flexeril time release for back injury prescribed by neurologist. He took that before bed last night along with 10 mg regular flexeril, melatonin an.d 2 Benadryl. Had a shot of vodka last evening and a small glass of wine at bedtime. About an hour ago started feeling light headed and took a BC powder in case having stroke. Had 2 cups of coffee around noon. Ate scrambled eggs then. When sitting up, he feels light headed. Omron wrist monitor used to determine bp and pulse. Currently on back on floor. He does not want me to call 911 at the moment and says feeling some better.

Hi welcome to HCM.
I understand your query and concern.
Fluctuations in blood pressure and light headedness could be related to Atrial fibrillation and heart failure.I advise you to have a baseline 2 dimensional echocardiography,ECG and lipid profile to assess the basic cardiac reserve of your heart.Restrict the intake of salt to less than 6g/day.Regular physical exercise in the form of brisk walk for 20 min a day for 5 days a week is pretty useful.Drugs like metoprolol 25 mg twice a day and antiarrhythmics like amiodarone, diuretics will be helpful in your case.Reduce the intake of fatty and fried food. One pomegranate, apple a day will be helpful.Avoid smoking and alcohol.Fruit juices, buttermilk will be better than coffee. Consult a Cardiologist for further expert management.Post your further queries if any.
