Hi,
My best thought regarding your symptoms is that the
TMJ dysfunction is causing some problems with your
inner ear. Part of the temporal-mandibular joint is located right next to the balance center in your inner ear and when you are having
dizziness caused by a problem with your inner ear it is often referred to as
vertigo. TMJ can cause a number of problems with this structure and can worsen these symptoms. One option is to look into purchasing a TMJ mouth brace to wear at night.
These are usually found at any local pharmacy and not a prescription. This will help to re-align you jaw bone and reduce the severity of any effects caused by TMJ. This is really a shot in the dark as to whether it will help or not but it is worth an attempt. Another option, in addition to this would be to purchase over-the-counter
Dramamine. This is, generally speaking, what we use in the hospital for dizziness caused by inner ear problems. It usually takes several doses to get ahead of the symptoms but it is effective at reducing these symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
