Suggest Remedy For Lack Of Appetite, Chills And Drowsiness While Treating Genital Herpes

I was diagnosed with genital herpes years ago. I have only ever had one blister, otherwise it was not bothering me and I have always been very careful. In the last ten years I get a strong pain running from my buttocks to the bottom of my foot. I am not able to use the leg - it is only on the right side. It will get increasingly worse. I usually start taking the Valtrex given to me from my gynecologist. The symptoms can last several days to a week. I never develop blistering, some tingling in vaginal/abdominal area. Lack of appetite, chills and drowsiness. Could this all be just from the herpes simplex??

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of diagnosed herpes, getting pain on the right side from buttock to he foot, taking Valtrex as advised by your Gynecologist, no blistering but some tingling in vaginal/abdominal area.
My thoughts:
Your history of pain in the right side from buttock to the foot indicate that you are most probably suffering from a condition called sciatica.
I would advise you to have MRI of the lower spine to get the cause and get the further treatment as per the reports.
Get an opinion of a Neuro-Surgeon, clinical evaluation, correlation with the MRI report and further management.
