Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your wife's symptoms it seems to be more of a dental issue as if the problem would related to heart may have been along with some pain and discomfort in chest radiating to shoulder or back BUT IF YOU FIND ANYTHING A LITTLE BIT RELATED TO HEART IT IS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY AND YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY SEEK MEDICAL CARE.
The issue may be related with a variety of problems like any
injury to the structure around the jaw joint called as TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT. These structures can be muscles, ligaments or tendons..
Any arthritic changes in the joint.
Any
nerve related pain called as
neuralgia.
Any habit like tooth grinding during sleep or awake called as BRUXICISM..
Unerupted wisdom tooth at times causes pressure on the adjacent molar causing pain.
If you think it is exclusively
jaw pain and no other medical history or present medical condition is there which is pointing towards heart problem you can see a
dentist and get evaluation done..
A dentist will better diagnose after clinical examination..
But if you have any other discomfort along with jaw pain see a CARDIOLOGIST SOON..
Hope your query is solved..
Thanks and regards..
