Hi Doc,This is Mridula, I am suffering from irritaing bowel syndrome from very long time. Doctor whom I consulted asked me to have very light foods as curd rice and no spicy food is allowed. He also asked whether anyone had TB in our family?. Is it a serious problem?. Please suggest some good medicine and what are the diet to follow.. Thank you.
Hello Mridula , IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) , it is a functional disorder and has no organic cause and such not a serious problem. You can take Tab Librax 1x2 for at least 2 months . What is your predominate symptom --diarrhoea or constipation ? If constipated then laxatives like Lactulose may be tried. loose motions may controlled with lomofen . In diet avoid lactose and fructose Keep your stress level low ,can do yoga, meditation and regular exercises like walking.Hope this helps .
