After miscarriage, irregular periods happens because of altered hormone levels. Kindly get your hormones namely FSH, LH and Prolactin levels checked. Also get an ultrasound abdomen done to know weather all the contents of conception has come out or not. It is obvious that the chances of conception will be less when you have irregular periods. That is because, you will not know when you will ovulate and also the uterus wouldn t have been prepared for implantation.
