General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. PCOS is a condition where ovulation is at fault. that cause irregular periods & lac of conception in these patient, The Gonal F is a preparation which stimulates growth of ovarian follicle which ruptures after maturity & releases ovum-which enables pregnancy . In spite of taking Gonal F you do not have menses, nor your pregnancy test is + ve. This indicates insufficient dose of the drugor need of changing the drug. * I would request you for getting your PCO treayed by an expert gynecologist first.by- Reduction of body weight,/ medicines/ laperoscopic drilling surgery of the ovary to remove extra cysts in ovary. * your husband has good semen --so once your ovulation improves, you can try a natural conception/ IUI / IVF Thanks.
