Suggest Remedy For High Fever When On Antibiotics For Sinus Infection

My husband has a temperature of 103. He is on an antibiotic for a sinus infection that he started 3 days ago. He has had a fever over the past 3 days from 101.5 to 102 but going down with aspirin. We have an appt. with his Doctor for Monday but as this is Friday night on a holiday eve - what should I do if this continues by the morning- go to the emergency room? Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Short answer: Tepid sponging, Anti pyretic drugs will help.

Detailed answer : Thanks for asking on HCM.

You can do tepid sponging using a wet cloth or apply cold water on body. This will reduce the temperature of body. Also you can give an anti - pyretic drug like Paracetamol 500mg thrice daily to control fever. Do not stop antibiotics. If fever is not coming down even after this then its better to take him to ER.
