Thank you for the query.
As per the history provided, you a 28 yrs old lady, mother of 2 children, overweight (exact BMI not mentioned), with elevated blood pressure reading and a family history of hypertension.
A single blood pressure recording is not sufficient to stamp one as hypertensive, you need to have atleast 2 or 3 readings more. As per the latest hypertension guidelines (JNC VIII), your recommended blood pressure level is below 140/90 mm of Hg, so as per the only reading that you have provided you just have a borderline recording.
In this scenario, it is advisable that you restrict your dietary salt intake (salt leads to fluid retention which may aggravate hypertension). Please do plan out a daily exercise regimen, since overweight/obesity can have associated adverse effects. Avoid refined carbohydrates and carbonated drinks.
I would recommend you to get your BP checked every fortnight so that you can keep a check (since you have a family history of hypertension). If your BP does not reach the desirable range with diet modifications and exercise regimen, you may need to start low dose medications. To rule out a component of metabolic syndrome if possible, please get your lipid profile and blood sugar screened (after all there is nothing wrong in being cautious).

Please visit your physician for a physical check up and plan of management.
Hope this helps you out.
Regards
