Suggest Remedy For Headaches And Elevated Optic Nerve
I just had an eye exam and am now being sent to an opthamologist because I have been having headaches, and the optometrist says that my optic nerve is elevated. I have always been sensitive to light, but the headaches are new, for about the last 6 months. I also am seeing flickering in diffused lights. Like when I do not look right at the light.i have been reading that this could be caused by multiple sclerosis or an autoimmune disease. Is this treatable? Are there other, less frightening reasons?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having headache associated with elevated optic nerve. My response to your question is as below.
The common cause for these symptoms is raised intracranial pressure. This may be caused by intracranial lesions, tumors, benign intracranial hypertension. Usually I advice a neurological examination and radiological tests like CT scan of brain to rule out the above mentioned causes and to find out the underlying cause.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly. Hope this answers your question. Do write back to me for further questions.
