Suggest Remedy For Groin Pain

I have pain in my groin area only when I move a certain way. I had x-rays and they said I have osteoarthritis and need a hip replacement. I had the same pain two years ago and had my left hip replaced. I do not think it is the problem. What other kind of x ray can I have to see if it is a nerve or tendon?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
After going through your query I came to know that you may be having osteoarthritis of both hips. It is confirmed by x-pelvis with both hips AP view. Its treatment is diacerine and glucosamin. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. You have already got one hip replaced and likely to got another also replaced. Muscle and tendon problem cannot be seen by x ray .It is seen in MRI.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
