Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2 month old baby which is breast fed as well as top fed has started to pass watery green and smelly stool twice a day. She has lost her playfulness and has slight fever upto 99 degree F. This possibly happened because we were on vacation and could not find boiled water for her. Instead we used bottled water of different brands. But all through out for 5 days of outing she was fine. Her loose motion started only after reaching back home. She seems to have lost weight and is irritable. Although she takes her feed , but is not her usual self. What do I need to do as it does not look like an emergency at the same time the infant is a bit uncomfortable.
I think you should bring her to the hospital if she is drowsiness, severe dehydration. You can see your baby skin turgor dryness and and no urine, you should bring your child to see a doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General & Family Physician
