Hey. About 5 years ago i had a really bad throat infection and didnt get on antibiotics for like 2 weeks. So finally when I did it went away but now I have this wierd click on the left side of my throat when I swallow and it kind of pops when I turn my head to the left. I have read many things online and there is no real answer or treatment but was just wondering if this is something any of you have heard or treated before. I have read everything from hyboid bone and thyroid and so on. Because of this i randomly get fevers and the sensation of getting a sore throat very often but never end up getting sick. It comes and goes but never goes away fully. I am tired of it and want it to go away. Can I get a recommandation on what I should do?
Hi. n such situations where the sore-throat and clicking as you have described is recurrent I would advise you the following :: Get a CT scan of the nose, sinuses and the neck. There may be a case of chronic sinusitis acting as root cause of all this and would required an active medical or surgical management. The hyoid elongated bone can be reason for the click and will be confirmed on CT and may be observed or removed if there is an associated pain too.
