Suggest Remedy For Fever Tight Stomach And Vomiting Sensation

My 3 year old son has had a fever since this past Sunday. It s been between 99-101. He also has what it seems like gas pains, he keeps burping and cries a lot. His stomach is very tight and he keeps trying to vomit. He has also been getting the hiccups and they seem to hurt him. Should I take him to his pediatrician? Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi ..

It could be gastroenteritis, probably something he got through contaminated food or water.. or it could be part of a viral infection.

I would advise you to give him warm water to drink at frequent intervals, tender coconut water.

Probiotics like lactobacilli might help.

If symptoms are severe...or have lasted more than 2 days, it would be better if you took your son to the paediatrician...
