Suggest Remedy For Fever And Cough

Hi my wife is having cough and fever. Fever starts in the morning after cough for the last 10 days. It reaches upto 102F and after taking combiflame comes down to to normal. Her age is 56. Her chest x ray appeared normal. Presently doctor had prescribed the following medicine. urine test nor.02.2014mal. In blood test WBC count 12800/cmm, In DLC- Polymorphs 78%. Other tests, BP, sugar level is normal. The doctor prescribed Following medicines on 25.02.2014- ABphyllinSR200, Nexpro,Augmentine, Azil and Kuxima. Even after consuming constant medicine, no sign of recovery appears. Problem persist. Could you kindly help me

I really appreciate your concern, the total count is high and this may be the sign of some infection of respiratory tract, and in my opinion better to have Tab Azithromycin 500 mg once in day for three days, rest of the medicine need to be stopped, wait for some time, every thing would be fine soon, even after the eradication of infection cough remains there for some time, take care.

This could be allergic cough now finish the treatment because once the antibiotic started means this need be given in full course, weight for some time this would come around, if the cough persistence then she can be given Tab Loratidine with pseudoephedrine three times in day, take care.
