Suggest Remedy For Extreme Pain In Ear Due To Perforated Eardrum

I believe I perforated my eardrum months ago as I could feel warm air rush into my ear when I plug my nose and blow. I don't think it healed on its own as I put two drops of peroxide in that ear yesterday and had an enormous amount of pain. Myself and others could hear screeching from my ear when I would blow. I am still in a lot of pain. What can I do for the pain? Is this a medical emergency or should I seek a physician soon?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain and scratching sound from ear along with air flowing from ear when nose is blown is an indication of ruptured eardrum..
It seems that perforation is big enough and my first suggestion would be not to put anything in ear as it can further cause damage rather than improvement..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to get an Otoscopic examination done to rule out the exact level of injury and in case of perforation he can first advice you medication like antibiotics, anti inflammatory, decongestant and antibiotic ear drops..
In case if you do not get improved or the perforation does not heal Tympanoplasty can be advised..
