Suggest Remedy For Extreme Constipation Post Hip Surgery
I just had surgery and a new hip Tues. I haven t pooped in a week and am greatly bloated. I have tried just about everything, softeners, laxatives, but I am to the point where something is trying to come out, feels as though it s about an inch or so out and will go no further. I tried to wipe it away and the paper was clean. There is now a great deal of pain. A home health care nurse just showed up for my hip dressing. . . any suggestions?

It sounds as though you may have a fecal impaction and you need to have your doctor check for that since it may need manual disimpaction
