Suggest Remedy For Dizziness When Having Hypertension

I have hx of hypertension and am on Lisinopril 10 mg every day. Yesterday I went to ENT doctor for vertigo work-up . I have had positional vertigo for years but it has been getting more intense and more frequent lasting longer lately. My BP in office was 189/114 but he did not seem upset about it as I am being treated for it and under my regular medial doctor supervision. BP has been averaging 120/70 for years now. Last check being a month ago, so needless to say I am a bit concerned. I took double (20mg ) Lasinopril 8pm last night and went to bed. ( Doctor s order). This am before rising, my BP was 135/95. I took 10 mg Lisinopril at 8am. At 10:30am BP was 159/95. At 4pm BP 198/114. I just took another 10 mg. It is Saturday and I am to see my MD Monday morning. Should I be concerned and go to quick care or ER today? The only other symptom is the dizziness which is nothing new.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

yes you should go to ER now...your bp is 198/114 and it is quite alarming....see the diastolic bp has also increased a lot....you might not be experiencing major symptoms but sometimes rise in bp remains symptomless but does a lot of damage....if it goes on increasing, risks of cerebral stroke or an hypertensive emergency may be likely....so decreasing your bp with medications, if needed intravenous is essential...

hope this was useful...
