Suggest Remedy For Diarrhea When On Linzess

I have recently started Linzess with increasing diarrhea. Now I have itching in my anal area which I thought was a hemorrhoid. But after an examination of the area there are inflammef areas around the anus and 2 areas look very inflamed red and yellow. I thinking this is probably a peri-rectal abcess?

hello..
it is a common side effect to have diarrhea with linzes
it secretes water and chloride in to intestine and causes diarrhea..
if you feel it to be perirectal abscess you should immediately get examined by a surgeon to evaluate it an take a course of antibiotics for reducing it..otherwise it may proceed to fistula..
i cant say what is it exactly without looking at it..
chances are
hemorrhoid
fissure
abscess..
i don't know the why your doctor prescribed linzess.
if it causes continuous diarrhea the dose has to be changed or an alternative drug has to be taken..
if you have anymore doubts i would be happy to answer..
I find this answer helpful
